Dear Patrons: 

Let me take this opportunity to share with you some of the successes of the 2005-2006 school year: 

I am proud to note that once again Denison students demonstrated outstanding academic performance on the state TAKS tests.  Our students scored above the state average on all 27 areas tested.  For many years our students have out-performed their peers by scoring considerably higher than the state and national averages on SAT and ACT college entrance exams.  Our students also excelled in extra-curricular competitions by winning awards at both the District and State levels.  The strong support of our community partners played an important role in making all this possible. 

Through the hard work of students, teachers, auxiliary staff, parents and the community, Denison ISD has developed a reputation for providing students with an education that prepares them to be successful and productive citizens.  During the 2006-2007 school year we will continue to expect good customer service from all employees in order that we may foster an environment that makes every student feel valued and encouraged to excel.  

I am excited about the possibilities the future holds for our district.  Please join us as we work to make this the best year yet for the students of Denison ISD.
