What are the procedures for drop-off and pick-up of students?

When dropping-off and picking-up students in front of the building please enter the parking lot from the East and exit to the West. We have two lanes, the inner lane for stopping and letting children out or picking them up. The outer lane is for exiting the parking lot once your student has been let out or picked up. We ask that you drive very slowly and carefully when in our parking lot as well as around our school for the safety of our students. If my child needs to take medication while at school what do I need to do?

You must complete a medication permission form for each medicine needing to be given. You will need to turn the medicine in to the school nurse with the form. All medicines must be in the original containers with correct directions on them. Visit this link for the medication permission form. http://denison.tx.schoolwebpages.com/education/components/docmgr/download.php?sectiondetailid=140&fileitem=5216

If during the day I need to get a message to my student what can I do?

When communicating changes in your child's daily schedule please send a note to his/her teacher. For last minute changes, you may call the office and we will deliver messages to students at the end of the day unless it needs to be taken care of sooner. If you need to get a message to your student please be sure and call before 3 p.m. to ensure getting it to them.

If my child is absent what do I need to do?

Call the attendance clerk at 903.462.7371 and let her know your child will be out. Send a note to school within three days of their return stating the reason they were out. If your student was gone for an appointment please return a note from the doctor or dentist.

What if I need to take my student items such as coats, shoes, or homework?

When forgotten items need to be delivered to your student, please send an email to his/her teacher regarding what has been delivered to the office. All deliveries are made to the classrooms at 3:00pm, unless it needs to be taken care of sooner.

What do I need to do if I would like to visit my child during lunch time?

Anytime you will be on campus other than normal drop-off and pick-up, you must stop in the office to sign in. You will receive a visitor's badge that we ask you wear until you leave campus. This badge notifies all staff members that you have checked in through the office. When you leave please stop back by the office to sign out.
