Major Saver cards on sale to benefit DISD students

Major Saver cards benefiting Denison ISD school students through innovative classroom grants from the Denison Education Foundation are on sale now through January 26th, according to DEF Executive Director Lisa Crawley.
The $15 “buy one, get one free” cards raised more than $32,000 last year, and organizers are hoping to exceed that mark by the end of this year’s campaign.
“The cards are currently being sold by students, through our DEF office at 903-462-7050, and online at www.majorsaver.com, where the sales can easily be credited back to designated students,” said Crawley. “All cards purchased online will be mailed directly to the customer, and prizes and credit to the students will be completed by the end of the campaign. Online purchases are just a very easy and safe way to contribute to our school children through the Major Saver program.”
Crawley says this year’s dining options are among the best and most diverse ever. “The card features 18 very popular restaurants that offer diners everything from burgers, pizzas, deli items and fried chicken to home-cooked meals, donuts, breakfast foods and barbeque. There’s something that everyone will like at virtually every restaurant, and the proceeds fund some really great innovative learning programs. We all eat out at restaurants, so this is a really good investment that benefits everyone.”
