What is the Denison I.S.D. Education Foundation?

The Foundation is a nonprofit, 501(c) (3) tax-exempt corporation operating under its own board of directors.  Tax-deductible contributions from parents, personnel, alumni, business, civic and professional sectors are used to fund programs and activities.

Why was the Foundation established?

The Denison I.S.D. Education Foundation has been created to support the educational programs of the Denison Independent School District.  Funds beyond the normal operating budget are provided for projects and programs that will enhance learning opportunities for students, encourage teachers to explore ways of expanding their educational techniques, and provide a vital link between the community and the classroom.

What are the goals of the  Foundation?

Encourage all students to work to their potential.

Reward teachers for innovative efforts and exemplary teaching.

Stimulate public awareness and enthusiastic support for our schools.

Involve the community in assuring a quality education for the leaders of tomorrow.
