Thank you for visiting my web site. I am Selena Woolard. I have been a 9th - 12th grade resource teacher for Denison I. S. D. since August 1998. For the 2012-2013 academic school year, I will be an Inclusion teacher for 9th grade English, 10th grade English, World Geography, U.S. History, and World History. As an Inclusion teacher, students will no longer need to leave their classes for any extra needed assistance. I utilize multiple instructional strategies and recognize the unique characteristics of each of the students. By identifying the individual needs of each student, I am able to address their target areas and help them on their road to academic and future success.

My personal approach to teaching is that of teamwork and one very important philosophy: "If you are not learning the way I teach, I need to teach the way you learn."

I believe it is imperative to create a positive, caring, creative, fun, and successful learning environment. I help in the creation of this successful environment by recognizing, understanding, and incorporating the various learning styles of each individual.
