DCTA President, Shonda Cannon, called the meeting to order at 4:03 p.m.

Reports:

Minutes from the last meeting were reviewed and approved.

Treasurer’s Report:  Edna Byler gave the financial report.  It was approved as printed.  She also told those present that all necessary paperwork has been completed and our account has been moved to American Bank.

Membership Report:  Shonda Cannon reported that there had been no change in membership since October.

Old Business:

TCTA Yearly Award Nominations were mailed before the deadline!  Shonda Cannon expressed appreciation for all those who wrote nomination letters. 

New Business:

We will need 6 Convention Delegates.  Following is the information about the convention:

          * February 29 – March 1, 2008

          * The Westin Galleria Hotel – Houston, TX

Anyone who is interested should let Shonda know immediately.

Information for Rookie of the Year & Para-Professional of the Year was given to Faculty Representatives. 

- Process and Dates:

          * Letters to Faculty Reps by Friday, April 5

          * Letters to Shonda by Tuesday, April 8

Jennifer Dennard won the door prize!  The meeting was adjourned at 4:25 p.m.
