It is the goal of the Denison ISD Purchasing Department to procure the goods and services necessary to enhance the educational process in accordance with all policies and procedures established by the district, the Texas State Department of Education, and the State of Texas.
It is the responsibility of the Purchasing Department to establish and administer district-wide processes and contracts for goods and services; review purchase requests for compliance with state and federal laws, board policy, and administrative regulations; issue purchase orders for supplies, equipment and services requested by campuses and departments; act as a supplier liaison; and provide guidance and training related to purchasing issues.
