Scholars Among Us

Celebrating Exceptional Achievements in Academic Excellence

Scholars Among Us is sponsored by the Denison ISD Education Foundation, and is the only dinner event of its kind in the DISD school system to honor not only our top 10% and Socrates scholars of the Denison High School graduating class, but also the teacher and/or educators who have most influenced each of their lives.  Because the event has been so well received and highly praised, the Denison ISD Education Foundation, with the generous support of local foundations, businesses, parents and individuals, continues to host Scholars Among Us in May of each year.

The dinner event this year will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Texoma Event Center - centering on the honored students and teachers.  The highlight of the evening is a video presentation featuring the senior students and their chosen teachers, explaining why each educator has had such a positive impact on the student’s life. 

Sponsor recognition will be prominently displayed at designated tables. Major sponsors/underwriters will also be recognized on the video and in all advance and follow-up media.

•     Any proceeds from event will go back into DISD schools through the D.E.F.      grants program
